Professional Learning Page

Welcome to the Jackson County School District’s Professional Learning page!

Our mission is to foster a culture of continuous learning within our schools to help us achieve our highest potential. This mission aligns with our district’s vision of “Building a Better Community… One Student at a Time.” To support this, the Jackson County School Board, in collaboration with the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium (PAEC), provides professional development opportunities for our employees.

The Jackson County School Board and PAEC collaborate to develop a comprehensive in-service plan and professional learning initiatives based on needs assessments and state guidelines. These efforts contribute to the development of our comprehensive in-service plan. Additionally, the Professional Learning Department partners with the Certification/Retirement Coordinator, Hannah Pickels, to ensure that teachers have the resources and support needed for recertification.

Our goal is to facilitate academic growth for our students through impactful and effective professional learning. The Professional Learning Office is located at 4294 Liddon Street and can be reached at 850-482-9617.
