We offer programs for students ages 16 and older. Adults (18+) have several options available, including day, evening, and online classes. Tuition is $30 (cash), and a valid photo ID is required for enrollment. Students under 18 must provide a withdrawal form from the last school attended. General Educational Development is a program that is designed for students who are performing at the ninth grade level or above and to prepare them to obtain the necessary skill required to pass the Official GED Test and be awarded a State of Florida High School Diploma.

- Any student who is 16-17 years of age must have an Official Withdrawal Form from his/her school site to be eligible to enroll in Adult Education.
- All 16 and 17 year olds must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- Jackson County Adult Education requires students under the age of 18 to attend day classes full time (25 hours per week).
- All students must have a valid photo ID prior to registering.

The Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) is the first step. This test is used to determine placement and shows the instructor what areas you need help with before taking exams. Once you have mastered all areas, the student is then given a GED Ready Practice test which determines a students’ readines to take the GED test. Persons at least 18 years of age are eligible to take the test but are not required to take prep classes if they feel confident that remediation is not needed.

Our school campus, we have a Building and Construction Program that teaches and trains students throughout the county. If students are interested in this program, please contact your schools guidance department.
At no additional cost to our Adult Education, they will have the opportunity to take part in CTE classes and receive valuable skills.

While enrolled, students are taught the skills that are necessary to obtain a job and how to keep that job. All students are encouraged to attend field trips to job fairs and tours at Chipola College while enrolled.
Guest speakers will be present throughout the school year to share with students the importance of finance management and career choices.
Our Adult Education Program is not only to provide a quality education and to give students the necessary tools to prepare for the GED test but also to prepare for their future.
