Career & Technical Education Programs

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the Jackson County School District provide students with meaningful opportunities to connect academic learning to real-world career experiences. Through a variety of career pathways, students gain the knowledge, technical skills, and employability competencies needed for success in both postsecondary education and the workforce.

Beginning in middle school, students are introduced to career exploration courses that help them discover their interests and potential career paths. At the high school level, career-themed courses offer specialized pathways across multiple career clusters, preparing students for high-demand careers and further educational opportunities.

CTE programs are designed to lead to industry-recognized certifications, workforce credentials, and pathways toward associate and bachelor’s degrees. By preparing students for industry certification exams, these programs equip graduates with valuable credentials that enhance their marketability and, in many cases, provide immediate employment opportunities.

Career, Technical, and Adult Education empowers students to apply academic concepts in practical settings, develop lifelong learning habits, and build a strong foundation for future success in college, careers, and life.
